A Walk Through Time

Lemont, Illinois was born at a crucial juncture in American history.  It provided not only the main artery of the shipping infrastructure that made the Industrial Revolution possible, but it supplied the very stones with which industry built factories, firehouses, office towers, and mansions.  The history of Lemont bears witness to the rise of America as a world power, and it also sheds light on the labor which toiled to build that power.

Join local legend and historian, Lee Anderson, on a colorful Walk through Time along the Illinois and Michigan Canal National Historic Corridor and the quarries of historic Lemont.
